Who we are

drivingapps.co.uk is operated by Webrich Software, the publisher of the UK driving theory, instructor, MOT tester and SERU revision apps described on this site. If you have a question about your data, contact us.

What this website collects

• Google Analytics 4. We use GA4 to count page views and a small number of events, such as a click on an App Store or Google Play badge. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate an approximate location.
• Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. These measure which pages are visited and how quickly they load. They do not use cookies.
• Advertising attribution. If you arrive from one of our Google Ads, the campaign parameters in the link (for example utm_campaign and gclid) are kept in your browser's session storage for that visit. They are added to the App Store and Google Play links so the stores can tell us which campaign led to a download. They are not sent anywhere else.
• Quiz result emails. If you ask us to email your quiz results, your email address, the topic and your answers are sent over HTTPS to our results-email service at webrichsupport.vercel.app, which sends the email. We may use the address to tell you about the matching app. We do not sell it or share it with other companies.
• Contact form. Messages you send through the contact form (your name, email address, the app you choose and your message) are delivered to us by Web3Forms. We use them only to reply to you.

Cookies and the banner

The cookie banner remembers your choice in your browser's local storage. Choosing Decline hides the banner, but it does not switch off Google Analytics on this version of the site. If you do not want to be counted, you can block cookies for this site in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Third-party links and embeds

• App stores. Download badges take you to Apple's App Store or Google Play, which have their own privacy policies.
• Affiliate links. The Recommended page and some articles link to Amazon.co.uk with our affiliate tag. If you buy something after clicking, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We never see what you bought or any of your details.
• YouTube videos. Videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com) and only load after you press play.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal data.
• We don't store your answers to the free practice quizzes. They stay in your browser until you leave the page, unless you ask us to email them to you.
• We don't ask you to create an account on this website.

The apps

Each app has its own privacy details on its App Store and Google Play listing, and the Webrich Software privacy policy at webrichsoftware.com/privacy.html. Where an app offers iCloud sync, your progress and records are stored in your own iCloud account, not on our servers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, such as a contact message or a quiz-result email address. Contact us and we will reply within one month.
