What the app does

Everything below is in the current iPhone and iPad version, which also runs as a native Mac app.

Pass the LGV theory test

Revise for the multiple-choice and hazard perception parts of the lorry theory test, with the Highway Code alongside, then move on to the Module 2 case studies.

Practice tile: a teal articulated lorry beside a checklist clipboard

Practice

All 1,068 DVSA revision questions across 15 topics, from braking systems and drivers’ hours to vehicle weights and dimensions. 142 of them ask for two or more answers, just like the real test. Every question has an explanation, with flash cards for quick recall.

Mock Test tile: a stopwatch in front of an answer sheet

Mock Test

Timed mock tests run 50 questions by default, adjustable up to the 100 the real test uses — the real test’s pass mark is 85 out of 100. Review every answer when you finish.

Hazard Perception tile: a view from a lorry cab down a motorway with a stopped trailer ahead

Hazard Perception

46 clips — 34 computer-generated and 12 filmed on real roads — scored in five windows the way DVSA scores them, so the earlier you respond, the more you score. Tap continuously to try to catch every window and the clip scores zero, exactly as it would on the real test. Then sit a mock hazard perception test and watch your score trend.

Study tile: an open Highway Code book with a lorry on the cover

Highway Code

The complete Highway Code — 31 sections and 399 rules with 324 official illustrations. Search it, bookmark the rules you want to come back to, and pick up where you left off.

Case Studies tile: a lorry beside a clipboard checklist

Case Studies

35 case studies with 233 questions to revise for the Driver CPC Module 2 case studies test, plus a timed mock in the Module 2 format. Every answer has an explanation.

Driver Tools tile: a lorry beside a clipboard with a stopwatch

Driver Tools

Seven tools for the working week, each exporting a clean PDF you can hand to an examiner, an operator or an insurer. Every tool opens in the free version.

Driver CPC Module 2 case studies

Module 2 is the Driver CPC part 2 case studies test. gov.uk describes 7 short stories based on situations you are likely to meet at work, with 5 to 10 multiple-choice questions on each: 1 hour 15 minutes, 40 out of 50 to pass, £23 to book. You do not need to have passed the part 1 theory test first, but you need a part 2 pass before you can book part 4.

35 case studies, 233 questions

Original case studies set in the working day of a lorry driver. Practise any case study on its own, with an explanation for every answer.

A timed mock in the Module 2 format

7 case studies, 50 questions and 75 minutes, marked against the 40 out of 50 pass mark, so you can rehearse the pace of the real test.

Progress and mock history

Your progress on each case study syncs over iCloud. The full version adds a mock history: past scores, your best and average, how many you passed, and each mock’s results with a full review.

Free to start

The free version opens 2 case studies and one mini mock. The case studies are included in the existing subscription and the one-off lifetime unlock, with no extra purchase.

The case studies are written independently for revision. They are not produced or approved by DVSA and are not the questions used in the real test.

Seven Driver Tools for the working week

Once you have passed, the app keeps earning its place in the cab. Records sync between your devices over iCloud; document photos deliberately stay on the device they were added to.

Daily Check

The DVSA walkaround check — up to 38 items across cab and controls, glass and mirrors, lights, wheels and tyres, body, coupling and load security, tailored to rigid, articulated, drawbar or trailer. Record each defect’s severity with photos, sign it off, and export a PDF with the photos and signature embedded.

Hours

Log driving, other work, availability and rest. The app works out the assimilated EU / AETR limits — 4 hours 30 then a 45-minute break, 9 or 10 hours a day, 56 a week and 90 a fortnight — warns you before a break is due, and exports a timeline you can correct. It is a personal note, not a tachograph.

CPC Hours

Track your 35 hours of Driver CPC training across the five-year cycle, with the cycle taken from your DQC card’s expiry date and national and international hours counted separately.

Wallet

Keep your licence, DQC card, tachograph card, D4 medical, MOT and insurance dates in one place, with reminders 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before each expires. Document photos sit behind Face ID or your passcode.

Load Securing

Lashing figures to EN 12195-1 by load weight and material pairing, showing both friction (top-over) and direct lashing, with what the table advises and what you actually fitted recorded side by side.

Incidents

A timestamped record of a DVSA or police stop, prohibition, fixed penalty, collision, bridge strike, breakdown or load shift, with photos and a location fix. Entries can be added to but not quietly deleted afterwards.

Roadside

One screen with today’s check and its PDF, open defects, your documents and your operator contact. A locked Show mode lets you hand the phone to an officer without exposing anything else.

Driver Tools record what you enter. They are not official records, and nothing in the app is a determination of compliance or fault.
