  • A. Only go if your vehicle will clear the junction ✓ correct
  • B. Drive slowly across the junction
  • C. Maintain your speed and sound your horn
  • D. Stop in the junction until the traffic clears
Explanation: Look well ahead and plan your approach to all junctions. Even though the lights are on green, don’t go forward if queuing traffic will cause you to block the junction. Be aware of the length of your vehicle and any inconvenience it may cause to other road users.

  • B. Size of your vehicle ✓ correct

  • D. The hiss of air brakes ✓ correct
  • E. Leaving plenty of room
  • F. Reacting in good time

You should take care to leave as much room as you can for riders. Keep the noise to a minimum by gentle use of the brakes and, if necessary, stopping and turning your engine off.

  • B. pull in when you can ✓ correct

Explanation: Don’t frustrate other road users by driving for long distances with a queue of traffic behind you. This could cause them to lose concentration or make ill-judged decisions.

  • B. Bomb disposal team ✓ correct
